Historic flooding inundates parts of Queensland, Australia

Significant flooding was prevalent throughout Queensland, Australia in what government officials were quoted as suggesting are the worst floods in the state’s history. More than 200,000 people were directly affected by the flood event across 70 separate cities and towns and at least 35 people died.
